The Shude Mid-Mountain Dream Factory is located between Nantou City and Caotun, boasting a prime position with a distant view of the Ninety-Nine Peaks. It is adjacent to various famous attractions such as Zhongxing New Village, Sun Moon Lake, and Jiji, rich in tourism resources and well-connected by transportation networks.
After nine years of planning and an investment of over two and a half billion dollars, the ‘Mid-Mountain Dream Factory’ has been crafted as the world’s largest indoor open area, spanning over 5000 ping. It was personally designed by renowned international architect Brad Williamson, who collaborated with teams from ten nations across thirty-eight different groups. Together, they created a space comparable to Google Office, including the ‘Shude Corporate Headquarters’, ‘Industry 4.0 Smart Factory’, and an ‘Educational Travel Factory’ that combines experiential facilities, cultural arts, and local food agriculture, forming a compelling and advantageous local exchange platform.
The Shude Mid-Mountain Dream Factory won the American MUSE International Design Gold Award. It features a ten-story high life tree, the largest and most spectacular in the world, setting a world record for its solid wood structure!
The life tree, measuring 30.8 meters high with an inner diameter of 10 meters, supports the entire roof. Visitors can descend via the 386-meter long life tree walkway, experiencing the energy of this grand artistic creation, and also enjoy a panoramic view of the majestic Ninety-Nine Peaks from the north-facing floor-to-ceiling windows.
